Tunnelling and Underground Construction Society (TUCSS) is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

If you have provided us with your personal data when filling in a membership application or renewal form, registering for events organized by us or for other reasons, this notice sets out the basis on which we collect, use, disclose or otherwise process such data.

1. Personal Data

• “Personal Data” refers to any data, about an individual who can be identified from that data; or from other information to which we have or are likely to have access to, including data in our records as may be updated from time to time.
• Examples of Personal Data include Name, Date of Birth, Nationality, PE/RE/RTO Number, Working Experience, telephone number, mailing address, email and any other personal information relating to individuals through any documents submitted.

1. Collection, Usage and Disclosure of Personal Data

• Personal Data may be collected for any or all of the following purposes:

• Verification of identity
• Processing of applications
• Processing of payment transactions
• Sending information about our activities, events and projects.
• Providing announcements
• When interacting with Secretariat via telephone calls, letters and emails
• We generally rely on personal data provided by you. To ensure that your personal data are accurate, please update us if there are any changes to your personal data by informing the Secretariat by email. Failure to do so may result in our inability to provide you with the services mentioned above.
• Complying with any applicable laws (including the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (No 26 of 2012)), codes of practice or guidelines, or to assist in law enforcement and investigations conducted by any governmental or regulatory authority.

• If you have provided your Singapore telephone number(s), you can be assured that we will not use or disclose it for telemarketing purposes.

• You have a choice to withdraw your consent for receiving any form of communications from TUCSS. You may contact us using the contact details found below.

1. Retention of Personal Data

• We may retain your personal data for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected (membership and renewal) in the case where you do not renew yearly.

• Please note that if your Personal Data has been provided to us by a third party (e.g. a referrer), you should contact that organization or individual to make such queries, complaints, and access and correction requests.

• If you withdraw your consent to any or all usage of your Personal Data, depending on the nature of your request, TUCSS may not be in a position to continue providing its services to you, which in turn may also result in the termination of membership.
